I'm Guy Michel, the electric cellist behind The Cello Assassin Experience. I don’t just play music. I create moments your guests will never forget, genre-bending, emotionally charged, and unforgettable.
I was born and raised in Haiti, where my love for music began at age five with a cello in my hands and freedom in my fingers. Long before I learned sheet music, I was improvising over Haitian rhythms and Caribbean grooves, instinctively blending soul and spontaneity.
Music wasn’t just taught, it was felt. I played in churches, at family gatherings, and anywhere sound could move people. I eventually studied classical music to continue my path in the U.S., but my heart never forgot the freedom of those early days.
In 2008, I took a leap most wouldn’t dare: I left the traditional path to create my own lane as a solo artist, blending cultures, genres, and generations through the voice of the cello.
Since then, I’ve opened for hip hop legend and activist David Banner, performed for the NAACP, and been featured twice on Univision’s Mira Quien Baila. My cello has taken me from luxury events and intimate weddings to global stages and television sets. I’ve performed for icons like actress Vanessa Morgan, MLB star Michael Kopech, and former Haitian presidents.
Whether I’m serenading a rooftop in Miami or lighting up a wedding in the South of France, I’m here to disrupt expectations with sound, soul, and style.
I’m also proud to be a member of the Recording Academy and the founder of The Performing Arts Institute, where I help musicians unlock their own creative freedom.
The cello isn’t background music. It’s the star. My mission is to redefine what the cello can be powerful, genre-fluid, and deeply emotional. Whether you hear it at your wedding, your event, or from the stage, the goal is always the same: make you feel something you didn’t expect.
